Flammeküche

The Flammeküche is THE super simple recipe that will help you to diversify your meal ideas. Especially since everything you need is already at home.

And moreover you have to eat it with your fingers!

Ingredients

For the dough :

 

  • 250g of flour
  • 25 ml grape seed oil (or other neutral oil)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ glass of warm water

 

For the filling :

  • 200 g curd cheese
  • 15 cl thick fresh cream
  • 1 large onion
  • 200 g of smoked bacon cut into bacon strips
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 turn of pepper mill
  • 1 pinch of grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add oil, water and knead well.
  3. Let the dough rest while you prepare the filling.
  4. In another bowl, mix the cottage cheese, fresh cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and salt and pepper.
  5. Thinly slice the onions
  6. Preheat your oven to 536°F
  7. Spread the dough on baking paper with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm. In a circle or rectangle.
  8. Add part of the cottage cheese mixture, taking care to leave 0.5 cm of edge.
  9. Divide the onions and bacon.
  10. Put in the oven and let it cook for 6 minutes (the cooking time may vary depending on the ovens).

Notes

  • Cut the Flammekueche, roll it on itself and eat it with your fingers.

  • gratinée with emmental cheese;
  • au gratin with munster cheese;
  • some mushrooms;
  • with salmon;
  • some shavings of fresh foie gras,
  • sauerkraut and Knack sausage,
  • smoked duck breast,
